Duties/Responsibilities: Performed duties as a Systems Engineer.

Responsibilities included:

·   Supported the SETA contract under Project Manager Power Projection Enablers (PM P2E) at Wheeler Army Airfield, HI.

·   Performed site surveys for Facilities Site Preparation, Outside Plant (OSP), Inside Plant (ISP) telecommunications systems engineering and design activities to translate functional requirements and performance objectives into a Systems Requirement Document (SRD) and List of Materials for the Acquisition package to go forward for proposal.

·   Surveyed and evaluated information systems equipment currently in use, to determine if the equipment and infrastructure are within the Department of Defense and private industry standards.

·   Provided the IPT lead with engineering support both in the survey phase as well as the production phase.

·   Provided complete systems requirements solutions, from providing high level detail designs of fiber optic cables, copper cables, manholes, conduit, equipment racks, electrical systems and building facilities to house data and telephone equipment in accordance with the Unified capabilities Framework 2013, Outside Plant Design and Performance (OSPDPR) Feb 09, I3A Technical Criteria FEB 2010 and other Department of the Army and Industry standards.

·   Performed site surveys, systems engineering and design activities to translate functional requirements and performance objectives into design criteria and specifications.

·   Surveyed and evaluated information systems equipment currently in use within the DoD.

·   Designed Facilities Site Preparation, OSP, ISP telecommunications systems for the ISEC at several bases within CONUS.

Responsibilities included:

·   Provided complete engineering solutions, from providing high level detail designs of both copper and fiber optic cables, manholes, conduit, aerial plant structures, and facilities in accordance with the I3MP standards and practices.

·   Analyzed and tracked requirements, provided Subject Matter Expertise input to help identify engineering requirements, defining the scope for these requirements, and overseeing specific engineering deliverables to transform core requirements into projects.

·   Performed the initial review and analysis of all Project Overview Statements (POS) received from customers, analyzing the relevance of requirements contained in the POS in order to make recommendations if new or modified capabilities need to be developed and implemented.
